"All right, ladies, we're back!" Han calls into the ship. "You can quit making out now!"

 Moments later he steps into the cockpit where Luke and I are sitting, both a bright pink from Han's comment.

 "Relax, I was joking," He says. "Unless..."

 "No! Nothing happened!" I assure him, causing him to laugh.

 "Whatever you say, Penn."

That night, I can't sleep.

 All I can think about is Luke, and how we both got extremely embarrassed when Han showed up. 

 Was he maybe thinking about kissing me too? No, why would he have been thinking about that? But I mean, he did basically outright ask me if I was getting any. What would have happened if everyone hadn't come back at that time? Would I have kissed Luke Skywalker?

 I bet I would've. We were probably seconds away from it too.

 I'm going to kill Han Solo.

"What are you doing up?" Han Solo's voice asks from a doorway.

 I look up at him and shrug. "Couldn't sleep."

 He sighs and comes to sit down next to me. "You know, this isn't usually something I'd do, but you're kinda growing on me, so; is something on your mind?"

 I shrug again.

 "Is it Penny?"

 "What? No," I say in a not very convincing voice. "Why would it be Penny?"

 Han chuckles. "I'm sorry, though. For interrupting your moment earlier today."

 "Moment? We weren't having a moment. We were just talking about stars and what it's like to travel so much. Not a moment."

 Han looks down at his hands. "You know, I was lying before."

 "About what?"

 "About Penny," he answers. "She doesn't have a thing against passengers."

 "So I've had a shot this whole time?"

 "Well, yeah, but I thought you said you didn't like her," he smirks.

 "I-I don't. It's just a confidence booster, ya know?" There's an awkward pause, and then I ask, "But why'd you lie about that? Does this mean you do have a thing for her?"

 He shakes his head. "Oh, no, of course not. I wasn't lying when I said she's like a sister to me. I guess I was just protecting her, or something like that."

 "From who? From me?"

 "I don't know, I'm sorry, kid."

 A small smile forms on my face, but quickly turns to a large grin. "Do you know what this means, Han?"

I have to act on this.

 For all I know, once we get to Yavin, Luke will leave us forever. I've got to do something about this right now.

 So I get up.

 I walk towards the main hold first. I need a cup of coffee before I do anything.

 "Do you know what this means, Han?" I hear a voice say as I walk down the hallway. When I get there, I find Luke and Han sitting at the table talking quietly to each other.

 "Penny!" Han beams at me before Luke can tell him what this means. Luke looks up and towards me, turning bright pink. "What are you doing up?"

 "I couldn't sleep," I say, walking to find my mug.

 "Something on your mind?" Han asks in an odd tone. I roll my eyes at him, not answering. "Well, I think it's time for Chewie and me to switch out flying this damn thing, so I'll leave you two here to chat."

 And just like that, I'm alone with Luke Skywalker. Again.

 If I'm going to act on this, I need to do it right now.

 "Would you like some coffee?" I ask.

 "No, I'm fine," he answers. "Once I get everything sorted out I'm gonna try to actually get some sleep."

 "What are you trying to sort out?"

 "Oh, nothing. It's dumb."

 I pour my mug and sit down next to him at the table. "Do you need my help with any of it?"

 He sighs. "Maybe...but right now I think I'm good on my own."

 We sit there in silence - minus the sound of Han cursing coming from the cockpit - for what seems like years. Am I really gonna do this? How am I gonna do this? Should I just kiss him? Do I need to say something first? Is it possible to somehow make him sense that I want to kiss him so he can kiss me first?

 Instead of kissing him, I start talking. "Is it girl stuff?" I joke. "Do you have a crush on Leia?"

 He turns pink again. "What? No, of course not. It's not girl stuff."

 "I don't blame you," I smile, taking a sip of my coffee. "If I were a dude, I'd definitely have a crush on Leia."

 "I don't have a crush on Leia!" He defends, getting more and more nervous. "I told you, it's not girl stuff...it's...it's guy stuff!"

 "Ohh, so you have a crush on Han."

 "What?"

 "Relax, I was just joking," I smile into my cup. "But if you do want to impress a girl - or Han, I won't judge-"

 "Penny."

 I grin at him and he seems to calm down a bit. "Okay, okay, if you wanna impress a girl, I think you should bring back the Stormtrooper outfit."

 "I'm not doing that."

 "Fine, die alone."

 I should kiss him right now. Is he gonna react all weird because I asked if he has a crush on Leia? What if he does have a crush on Leia though? God, that would suck.

 I gotta do this though. If I don't do this, I risk never seeing him again.

 So I act on it.

 I lean over the smallest bit and brush my lips against his quickly. Less than a half a second. When I pull away though, his eyes are wide as saucers, and he looks as though he just saw a ghost.

 Oh my god, he's gonna freak out. This was a bad idea, why did I do this?

 "I..." he begins, "I think I need to go to bed. Rest up before we get to Yavin. This has nothing to do with this kiss, I promise." He gets up and walks to his quarters.

 God, I'm such an idiot.
